This multiple was made at Glasgow Print Studio at the same time as Houses, Gardens and was based on a painting by Rhodes with the same title. The work began with experiments towards a colour-separation process such as silkscreen, but Rhodes moved increasingly towards a photographic digital print, making adjustments to the colour, tone and scale of the original painting. This process is in some ways analogous with the process that Rhodes used to create her paintings – using photography, experimenting with scale and fascinated by colour. The mounting and framing were also experimented with at length, and it is the complete physical object that constitutes the final edition.
